“Work hard and achieve perfection. And if you can’t, start over again.” This is the philosophy Kiton lives and breathes by, which has guided the company to a world of success. Ciro Paone, founder of Kiton, has always been passionate in the art of tailoring. He views the craft as an artistic form of expression. Naturally, Kiton’s handcrafted masterpieces began taking over the European markets, and entered the US market in 1986. The unique characteristic of a Kiton original is the meticulous attention to detail that goes into each piece. It takes Kiton tailors 25 hours to create a suit worthy of the label. Patterns are hand stitched to provide flexibility and movement. Industrial machines are able to produce 400 pockets a day, while a Kiton tailor spends an hour sewing and attaching one by hand. To preserve and teach the Kiton standards, the Kiton Tailoring School was established in 2001. The master artisans responsible for the production process add value to the products; each artisan shares the same passion for artistic craftsmanship as Ciro Paone himself.
